It was a bare idea brought up from a random weekend’s drink. As much as I'm ready for it to become just another drunk conversation, but before I knew, it I'm already having a great weekend on the waters with a drink on my hand, having a great time with the people I love.

June 3, 2023,
But before we get there, let's start at the beginning, shall we?
It was the last weekend of May, I was taking the weekend off work and the man has his Saturdays off as well. It was a lot happening on his job on those past few days, so he decided to get some well-deserved drinks. He got drinks for us, and he even invited my sister over.
While we were catching up, we touched on the topic of weather and on how it is so hot and the rains don't do much to relieve the warm weather.
What about we go out for a swim?
I thought that was just a little jokey joke as the humorous man he is, then which my sister replied,
Sure. Where and When do we plan?
And from that, I see that we're in for a treat.
Next Saturday, I assume everyone of us is free? We'll have a week to plan where and how to get there…
The man proposed. After that little talk, we went to another topic. I didn't think much of this conversation since I really have no money as my paycheck haven't arrived yet so we just assumed things (this will be important later).
But once it's an agreement with my impulsive sister who rarely cancels on anything and the ever so pushy man, then consider it as a done deal.
We were completely occupied so we didn't think much about this conversation and acted/planned on it on the upcoming days…
Until Wednesday.

The man and had talks about the plan such us our availability, the transportation options, the budget, the estimated time for my paycheck to arrive, etc. He was able to check out resorts on Facebook and contacted them for inquiries.
In case you don't have an idea, I worked with a travel agency as an assistant. Also, I have been working with an organization on publishing events online, so I am convinced that I am more than qualified to draft down a little plan. But even before that, I always have a thing for organizing plans and keeping in touch with everyone so the thing runs smoothly.
So, with my usual planning enthusiasm, added from what I learned from the places I worked at, I drafted down a list of ideal places, their location, rates, contact links, preparations, pros and cons for our plan such as the schedule or minimum pax, etc., until we came up with the best option to what we wanted. I showed it to my sister and she actively cooperated.
Then after that, I did a rundown of the plan, expected expenses, itinerary and every possible detail I can come up with. On the other hand, the man was my personal assistant throughout the planning (and the entire trip) as he’s the main contact person for the venues and things we inquired on - something my introverted self couldn’t endure.
On the upcoming days, there were exchanges in communication, a lot of conflicts along the way, and even a point of cancelling the trip (which is a story in itself), but with persistence, hope, and an unexpected plot-twist, we made it and it became one of the best days of our lives.
The day.
It started as a normal day for us. Except when we woke up too early for the day because we had a power outage in my area. We were later on informed that the outage will last the entire day. It's a bummer since the weather was extremely hot and it makes us on a horrible mood to get things done. It made such bothersome impact to the mood and the planning.
We started by sending out used clothes for laundry, then I had to secure the funds. We went out for breakfast and we started grocery shopping (which was an adventure on its own since we have encountered conflicts compared to the usual grocery shopping day as well)
After groceries, we went to the family home earlier than expected to pick up my little brother. As much as she's also invited, mother didn't go with us since she's busy as she mentioned.
We were able to kill time at our house. Then a few hours later, my sis arrived and we waited for a few hours.
Transportation was a pain too, since the original plan was not sustainable at that time, so good thing it was a quick fix. But when it comes to the resort itself, there were some unexpected stuff happened that took us more expenses than expected. Good thing we can just roll with it. And just like that, we booked a nice and cozy air-conditioned hotel room in the resort compared to just a small cottage where we had fun, drinks, food, and rest for the night, so the additional amount were not that bad.

The views were breathtaking. It’s perfect if you wanted either to take photos or be one with nature. It’s also ideal if you want to take a break and disconnect from your gadgets which I did for that trip (hence little-to-no pictures). There are also attractions and spots to be at if you want to go everywhere to feast your eyes and can never go bored. As it is an evening, the night lights were adorable too. The hotel room was great and so so neat. The place was very comfortable, and they have the coziest blankets I ever experienced. Overall, a great place to be chill with.
The pool was fantastic. It is cold, just the right depth for me, and more. We had a night swim and it was so chill and fun. We had a great bond throughout the day, and I stayed on the pool most of the night. Also for food, we had something delivered but they seem to forget the cutlery, so we had to eat by hand, and that itself was a highlight of the night as well.
We swam most of the night and had only like two hours of sleep before we get home.
Thoughts…

As a first-timer in the place, I can say that it was nice, but it is very much the typical public swimming pools with chlorine-induced waters, but the amenities and attractions were great. It’s slightly more expensive for that place in my opinion, but the experience and fun bond I had with my loved ones and the way we utilized the most of the place for our stay was worth it.
I have been to places that have rich nature as well as fresher, spring water pools for cheaper price. Just not this time since it was an on-the-spot planning and we are looking forward to a place we’ve never been. But as they advertised a more unique luxury experience and variety of things, compared to those that are limited to just swimming and cafeteria, it is there and I guess it wouldn’t hurt to spoil myself with a slightly-pricey resort not just for its waters but also the attractive nature and activities. I strongly believe that every place has different things to offer and strengths that makes them unique, and as a place we are just trying out, I can say that this isn’t a waste of money.
A Chance to Relax, Unwind, and Bond with my Loved Ones

It was a great chance to have a chill, unwinding time surrounded by the people I love and having fun with me as well. I was able to disconnect, unplug, recharge, and refocus to the present and at the things that matters the most, which certainly everyone did too.
We’re getting older by the day, and us getting busy all the time with work and studies, finding no time to catch up anymore is getting more evident as well, especially knowing that it will get busier for all of us in the upcoming days and months.
The chance itself to take the day off altogether and go on a trip is something greatly appreciated. And besides, it’s a great time to enjoy things since it has been an exhausting few days for all of us as well. Trips like this is important because we were tired and busy, and recharge pretty much helps to keep our wellbeing to keep us going for the upcoming days and avoid burning out.
My love language is quality time, I like to share quality time to everyone willing to take them with me. And if I am passionate with something or for someone, I put my full effort and attention to make things happen. And with the trip was fun and worth it. In my opinion, I just felt like it’s better to take the chance of spending quality moments with people I love while we still can because we’ll just never know what’s next.
I didn’t just had fun from going on a swim, experiencing a new place, and being able to be away from home. In fact, I enjoyed hanging out with the man and my siblings even more. No matter where or what we are doing as long as all of us are having fun together means a lot to me. But given that almost all of us loves to swim and hates the hot weather, resorts were our places to-go.
